Passage du Désir is, above all, the story of a desire: to rethink couple intimacy. In 2006, faced with routine and a lack of communication in his own relationship, Patrick Pruvot decided to create a different kind of space, far from the traditional sex shops that are often dark and intimidating. His ambition? To offer a bright and warm place where every couple, novice or experienced, can stop, talk and discover intimate essentials objects in a relaxed and uninhibited atmosphere.

The expertise of our team
Based in France, our dedicated team of nearly 150 passionate individuals works every day to provide you with the best possible support and guidance.
To ensure you receive the highest level of advice, all new team members undergo comprehensive in-house training led by a sexology specialist. This training covers the technical aspects of our products and our brand history, but dives much deeper into anatomy, sexology, and inclusivity : values that are deeply rooted in our DNA.
We also regularly collaborate with external experts to enrich our knowledge on specific topics. For instance, Mathilde Magnien has led specialized sessions on intimacy and disability for our teams. We also partnered with clinical psychologist Pierre Dubol to co-author the book Vive le plaisir, fuck la routine, published by the renowned French publishing house Albin Michel.

For years, we have been deeply committed to supporting organizations that echo our core values of care, understanding and inclusivity. We do this through flexible, tailored partnerships designed to make a real impact.
We have thus carried out several partnerships with the Unesco Chair on Sexual Health & Human Rights in 2021 at the launch of their MOOC: Rights, Sex & Education. In 2023, 3 videos were produced in our stores on the use of sex toys and STIs by Unesco.
Our donation service is also very active and regularly supports associations that are particularly close to our hearts, such as AIDA (we provide condom kits, lubes, educational booklets for the young women they support), AIDES and SOLIDAYS. More sporadically, we provide materials through more targeted initiatives with many other organisations, such as medico-social establishments.
