There are 3 types of lubes to suit your needs: 

  • Water-based intimate lube: this is the lube that can be used in any situation. Compatible with intimate areas, sex toys, and condoms. It is easier to clean than the others; its benefit is to reduce friction and lessen discomfort while enhancing pleasure. Its only drawbacks are its limited duration of effectiveness and the fact that it does not treat vaginal dryness.
  • Oil-based intimate lube: made from natural vegetable oil and other ingredients, these intimate lubes offer longer-lasting lubrication than water-based ones. Oil-based lubes also have moisturising properties and help improve comfort and pleasure during intimate encounters. However, they can be difficult to clean off and may damage latex condoms and silicone sex toys.
  • Silicone-based intimate lube: this is the longest-lasting and most slippery option. Silicone-based lubes are water-resistant, making them perfect for use in the shower! They are also recommended for sensitive skin. The main drawbacks of silicone-based lubes are that they can stain sheets; their use is not recommended with silicone sex toys or condoms.

How to use an intimate lube?

Intimate lube should be applied before sex to the intimate areas: at the entrance to the vagina, the anus, or directly onto the penis, finger, or sex toy.
