The MySexMyRights team from the UNESCO Chair in Sexual Health and Human Rights proposed that we create educational videos about sexual health. This topic is very dear to us, so we responded with a big YES (if not a "Yiiihaaa").

What is a UNESCO Chair?

MySexMyRights belongs to the Sexual Health and Human Rights Chair of UNESCO. A Chair is an entity, a team gathered around the same project. This one works to address the relationship between sexuality and human rights in a positive and preventive manner. Complementary to a pathological and scientific approach to sexual health that can be quite impersonal (although also important), the members of MySexMyRights address topics such as sexual pleasure, consent, contraception, or endometriosis with empathy and kindness, to inform and abolish prejudices.

Why Passage du Désir?

Indeed, why us? The light and educational aspect of our approach to sexuality particularly appealed to MySexMyRights. Through this collaboration, they saw the opportunity to further open the conversation around sexual health and pleasure, which are still sometimes poorly perceived. Thus, hand in hand, we decided to continue to break the taboos around these subjects!

The result of this collaboration

This project gave birth to two videos, on topics we deemed important to popularize. The first is based on the daily life in the store Passage du Désir and addresses the most frequently asked questions to sales advisors. The second video (which will be released very soon) responds to a highly requested topic on our respective social networks: the use and misconceptions about lubricant. The alliance between the preventive and informative aim of MySexMyRights, and the testimonies of the Passage du Désir teams led to these first contents of which we are very proud. We sincerely hope you will enjoy them, and that they will contribute to the evolution of mindsets around sexuality. See the first TikTok

Hello, I'm Lou! With a degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, I have been interested in sexology topics for a few years. Following several trainings, notably with the sexologist Mathilde Magnien, Passage du Désir reached out to me to create articles for you on topics like sexology, love, or couples. My credo? To open the conversation on sexual well-being, in a light, fun, and caring tone. 💜
