The MySexMyRights team from the UNESCO Chair on Sexual Health and Human Rights proposed that we create educational videos on sexual health. As this topic is very close to our hearts, we responded with a resounding YES (if not a "Yiiihaaa").

What is a UNESCO Chair?

MySexMyRights belongs to the UNESCO Chair on Sexual Health and Human Rights at UNESCO. A Chair is an entity, a team brought together around a shared project. This one works to address the relationship between sexuality and human rights in a positive and preventive way. As a complement to a pathological and scientific approach to sexual health, which can be quite impersonal (though equally important), the members of MySexMyRights tackle topics such as sexual pleasure, consent, contraception, and endometriosis with empathy and compassion, to inform and dispel prejudice.

Why Passage du Désir?

That's a good question — why us? The simultaneously light-hearted and educational aspect of our approach to sexuality particularly appealed to MySexMyRights. Through this collaboration, they saw the opportunity to open up the conversation further around sexual health and pleasure, which are still sometimes misunderstood. And so, hand in hand, we decided to continue breaking taboos around these subjects!

The result of this collaboration

This project gave birth to two videos, on topics we felt were important to make accessible. The first is based on day-to-day life in a Passage du Désir store and covers the most frequently asked questions to sales advisors. The second video (coming very soon) addresses a topic much requested on our respective social media: the use of and misconceptions about lube. The combination of MySexMyRights' preventive and informative approach, and the testimonials from the Passage du Désir teams, resulted in these first pieces of content that we are very proud of. We truly hope you enjoy them, and that they will contribute to the evolution of attitudes around sexuality. Watch the first TikTok

Lou ✨

Hello, I'm Lou! With a degree in Human and Social Sciences, I've been interested in sexuality topics for several years. Following various training courses, including with sexologist Mathilde Magnien, Passage du Désir called on me to put together articles on topics around sex, love and relationships. My motto? Opening up the conversation about sexual intimate essentials, in a light-hearted, fun and caring tone. 💜
