Top aphrodisiac foods

Last updated on

Today, we're going to talk about two subjects that most of the population is passionate about: sex (obviously) and food! I recently learned that 54% of the population prefers food to sex. We can therefore deduce that there are two types of people: those who prefer eating, and those who prefer having sex. I'm suggesting today that we make everyone happy and combine the useful with the pleasurable. So here is my top list of aphrodisiac foods — those that, in addition to being good for your health, will bring you vigour and sexual stamina. Let's go!

1 - Ginseng

Ginseng

Well yes, I'll grant you that, ginseng isn't exactly delicious. It has a very earthy taste and it's not everyone's cup of tea. But it is nonetheless one of the only foods whose aphrodisiac effect has been proven by scientists. Ginseng is a small root and it is packed with elements that promote good blood flow and therefore contribute to erectile function (of the penis gold clitoris). It's therefore a choice ally for maximum arousal!

2 - Cocoa

Cocoa

It's the aphrodisiac ingredient of the moment. But be careful — I'm talking about pure cocoa, not your little milk chocolate and hazelnut bar! Cocoa contains a precursor to serotonin — the pleasure hormone — and has a high magnesium content, which has a calming and anxiolytic effect. So it's absolutely ideal for a moment of pleasure and relaxation, are you with me? 😉

3 - Watermelon

Watermelon

This one, we didn't expect to see in this top, and yet… It can be considered a true natural viagra! It's one of the foods with the highest citrulline content, an amino acid that helps erectile function. However, to feel the effects, you'd need to consume at least 1.5 litres of watermelon, which would have a diuretic effect. You'd spend the evening in the bathroom, but with a nice erection…

4 - Onion juice

Onion juice

This one is for the brave. Fresh onion juice does indeed have many benefits. However, we can't guarantee that your partner will feel the same way when they smell your breath.

5 - Green tea

Green tea

The most cultivated medicinal plant in the world, green tea is packed with benefits for your body in general, but also for your libido!

It fights cellular and therefore sexual ageing, while bringing you vigour and energy. Shall we have a little cup?

However, even if all these foods can have a positive effect on your libido and performance, you'd need to eat them in astronomical quantities before truly feeling the effects. If you want to test the power of these foods, opt instead for dietary supplements in which you'll find the same active ingredients, without having to consume 3 watermelons and two litres of onion juice.

See you soon 💜
