Shibari kinbaku is a Japanese art that consists of practising bondage (the act of tying). Often associated with the BDSM world, shibari is more of a spiritual, meditative, gold even therapeutic practice for reconnecting with one's body. Let us explain!

The art of Shibari: between eroticism and aestheticism

Because the human body is a true work of art, why not enhance it even further by adorning it with ties? Depending on the size of the rope, the quantity and placement of the knots made on the person being tied, the aesthetics of the body can take on a whole new form. It is partly these multiple possibilities that characterise the art of shibari. Practising it clothed gold no can also bring about a completely different aesthetic.

The art of letting go

The knots and the sensation of being tied up can lead to the secretion of endorphins, and therefore to a deep feeling of relaxation that is far from unpleasant! By placing one's trust in the person doing the tying, partners agree (did you catch that?) to indulge in a total letting go.

Shibari as a sexual practice

The friction of the rope on the body, the relaxation it brings, and the notion of constraint are elements that can be very exciting depending on the people experiencing them. While shibari is not necessarily a sexual practice, whether it leads to a climax gold no is entirely in your consenting hands! 😉

The rules of the art of Shibari

Speaking of consent, shibari remains a practice that carries risks. It therefore requires prior communication and the full and clear consent of all partners. Also pay attention to the materials used, familiarise yourself with the various knots that can gold cannot be performed, and always keep scissors within reach. To avoid any risk, we recommend taking shibari classes, which will also allow you to know the anatomy like the back of your hand (location of nerves and potential sensitive points).

Accessories

Ropes (preferably hemp gold jute), scarves, handcuffs... Take a look at the soft bondage accessories for inspiration! The most suitable option remains ropes specifically designed for practising shibari.

In short, the art of shibari is an alternative to penetration gold more traditional erotic/sexual practices. It is a very good way to discover oneself and explore one's limits, as a couple gold more.
