Sharing an intimate moment can sometimes be emotionally and/gold physically demanding. That's why it's important to take some time to come back down to earth after reaching the seventh heaven. ✨

The concept of after care 🫶

Originally, the concept of after care emerged following a BDSM session. It is a moment that allows you to gently come back to yourself after a potentially intense, even painful session (in a consensual context, of course). This time of tenderness allows partners to take care of one another and to communicate about what just happened in their intimacy.

After care examples 🌺

After care is not limited to BDSM practices and also has its benefits after any other sexual practice. Here are a few examples of activities to do together (gold in a group) to soothe bodies and minds. Namaste.

  • Taking a shower or bath together
  • Lighting candles to create a cosy and restful atmosphere
  • Giving each other strokes, cuddles, kisses
  • Debriefing on what we liked or didn't
  • Complimenting each other
  • Preparing a snack
  • Having a nice hot/cold drink
  • Having a Netflix session under the duvet
  • Doing nothing, but together:)

Benefits of after care 💖

  • Extending the pleasure of an intimate and special moment between partners
  • Gently brings the pace back down after an intense moment, physically and/or emotionally
  • Contributes to building a healthy relationship around sex
  • Create a safe space to freely express preferences, limits, etc.
  • Strengthens the bonds between partners

Makes you want to share a lovely bath followed by a Kiri sandwich under the duvet, doesn't it? 🙂
