For decades, fishnet stockings have been an iconic symbol of French feminine seduction. Here’s a curious tale: when the Eiffel Tower appeared at the 1900 World’s Fair, Parisians thought it looked like a leg clad in a fishnet stocking, with its four legs resembling the four straps of a suspender belt… a real pin-up, in other words!
