Lovely to meet you, I'm Violette.

You'll find me at the bottom of every blog article and in product reviews. So it was high time I introduced myself. SPOILER ALERT — I may as well tell you straight away: I am not a person. I am a sum of people <3
The secret team

The secret team

Violette Berger is the star pseudonym we chose to embody our diverse group of writers.
No real need to elaborate on the choice of "Violette", it seems rather obvious to us... As for "Berger", the teams have a great passion for sheep.

Let's get back to them: behind this name lies a group of people made up of members from our various teams, ranging from creatives and communications specialists to product specialists, customer relationship management and in-house after-sales service, as well as external experts who support us on specific topics, such as Mathilde Magnien, a psychologist and sex therapist specialising in supporting vulnerable people.

The idea is to pool everyone's strengths to best meet your needs, anticipate them when developing new products and during our key moments.

A name, a mission: breaking taboos around intimate wellbeing

A name, a mission: breaking taboos around intimate wellbeing

Passage du Désir was born from a simple observation: in France, there was nowhere to ask questions about your sexuality without feeling ashamed. No judgement, no vulgarity, no medical jargon. Just clear answers.

That is Violette's mission, supported by specialists such as Mathilde Magnien. For us, positive sexuality is an essential key to personal happiness and fulfilling relationships. We wanted a knowledge-sharer; someone who talks to you like a very well-informed friend. Unable to find that person, we created her. She is like us: curious, free, expert.

The professions behind the pen

  • The Products team

We know about materials, certifications, motors and instructions. We test, compare, ask manufacturers questions and reject anything that does not hold up. When Violette describes a product, this is the level of detail behind it.

  • The Customer Relations team

We receive your questions before you buy, the ones nobody dares type into a search bar. We know what worries you, what holds you back, and the words you use to express it. The topics Violette covers come from there, not from a keyword tool.

  • The After-Sales Service team

After purchase comes use and care. Our customer service team knows which products are returned, which raise questions, and which instructions are poorly understood. This feedback from the field continually corrects and refines what we write.

  • The Communications team

We check what is being said before it is published: the sources, the wording, the absence of pressure, inclusive writing in every line. We reread, we cut, we ask for evidence. This is our guarantee that Violette informs without ever prescribing what you should do.

  • THE PURPLE CLUB AKA YOU

Your reviews, your responses to our surveys, your DMs and your feedback in store. You tell us what helped you, what disappointed you, what we had explained badly. You are the only team we have not recruited, and probably the one that corrects us the most.

  • The Social Media team

It is Violette's ear to the outside world. We follow the conversations: what people are talking about on social media, the topics gaining traction in the media, the questions journalists ask us, and what the sexologists and creators we invite have to say.

The book: Sex toys explained for beginners

In 2020, all this accumulated knowledge, years of customer feedback and technical expertise, took the form of a book, published under the name Violette Berger and available on Amazon.

We designed it as a practical, fun and completely uninhibited guide. It shares the same goal as this blog: to give you the keys to explore your intimacy with confidence, a smile, and without the slightest taboo.
