AND HAPPY EASTER MY STARS.

In order to escape the depression of the family dinner that lasts for two and a half weeks, we have listed some sex facts that can act like palate cleansers...

1. The sperm marathon

While the speed of ejaculation can reach about 45 km/h, the journey is a real obstacle course. To reach the egg, a sperm must travel a distance equivalent to several kilometers on a human scale. Less than 1% of them manage to pass through the cervix.

2. The heart in full sprint

During orgasm, the heart rate can climb up to 140 or 180 beats per minute. This is equivalent to intense physical exertion, like a sustained sprint or a rapid climb up stairs.

3. A natural painkiller

Orgasm releases a massive dose of endorphins and oxytocin. These hormones dramatically increase the pain tolerance threshold. Studies suggest that an orgasm can be more effective than a classic painkiller in relieving a migraine or menstrual pain.

4. The fertility window

The survival of sperm in the uterus and tubes is impressive: they can remain fertile for up to 5, even 7 days. This is why sexual intercourse during menstruation can, in some short cycles, lead to pregnancy.

5. Synchronization of beats

During an intense kiss or sexual intercourse, the heart rates of partners tend to synchronize. It's a fascinating biological phenomenon linked to empathy and physical proximity.

6. Seminal fluid, a complex cocktail

Semen contains more than just gametes. It's a mix of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, fructose (for energy), and proteins. It's a real biochemical concentrate, although the quantities are tiny.

7. Smell, the invisible ally

Humans can detect hormonal variations by smell. Some research has shown that a person's skin odor is perceived as more attractive by potential partners when they are in their peak fertility period, and this happens completely unconsciously.

8. The clitoris, the hidden side of the iceberg

What we perceive of the clitoris is just the glans (the external part). In reality, the entire organ measures between 8 and 12 centimeters long. It extends inside the body and has roots that swell with blood during arousal.

9. Energy expenditure

A sexual activity of average duration (about 25 minutes including foreplay) burns about 4 calories per minute for people producing sperm and 3 calories for those who do not. It is a moderate physical activity, comparable to brisk walking.

10. The brain in "let go" mode

During orgasm, the brain temporarily deactivates areas related to fear and anxiety. The lateral orbitofrontal cortex goes "on pause," which explains the deep relaxation and total disconnection felt by many after the act.

So which one is your favorite?

See you very soon for new nuggets of all kinds <3

PS: MERRY CHRISTMAS for real.
