Best and worst places to make love

Trying out new places is fun, and it's a great way to spice things up in a relationship, for example. But not all locations are worth it. So we asked you on Instagram to find out your thoughts on the subject. Here is the result of your responses — a (no means exhaustive) list of the best and worst places to make love.

The best places to make love

• The bedroom

Old pots make the best soups, gold the best jams… Well, you get the idea! The bedroom topped our poll at number 1, and we can guess why: optimal comfort, soft sheets, the intimacy of a closed room. In short, nothing beats a good old bed, with a few exceptions just below.

• The hallway

What could be more exciting than devouring your partner just moments after crossing the threshold? With this option, we love the wild and spontaneous side — and bonus points if you have a good, sturdy table to lean on…

• The sofa

We can't forget it — the iconic sofa! Whether it seats 2, 3, has a chaise longue, is fabric, velvet or leather (although when it comes to sweaty bottoms sticking, we've seen better), the sofa is your best cuddle companion.:)

The worst places to make love

• The shower

Because we're here for you, for better and for worse, we need to talk about the shower. Although it tends to spark debate in our community, the majority still tend to hate it for its slippery side where you don't want it, and yet sticky where you actually want it to glide… So unless you're the lucky owner of the Womanizer Wave, we'd advise you to give this one a miss.

• The beach

Seaaa, sex and suuun… Hmm, not so much — when the sun is burning your backside and the sand is doing its very best to get everywhere, it's not exactly thrilling. The other argument putting most of you off the beach is hygiene: the sand, the water full of murky substances and whatnot all tip the scales firmly towards NO WAY!

• The car

And to round off this ranking, let's talk a little about the car. Of course, not all cars are equal, but what remains true regardless of the model is that it's far from ideal. Lack of comfort, unpleasant materials, and a serious risk if you start getting up to mischief while one of you is driving (that's a no, we're watching you!).

This little list should of course be taken with a pinch of salt, as it is entirely subjective and no means exhaustive. However, it gives you an idea of the community's opinion on the subject, and perhaps it will also give you some ideas. ;)
